Amanda Redman

Amanda Redman's work with the Red Cross

Ambassador since 2024

Actor Amanda Redman became an ambassador after travelling to Türkiye with the Disasters Emergency Committee to see the impact of the earthquakes. Her visit, and subsequent appearances on national television, helped raise awareness of the urgent need for humanitarian support.

Amanda Redman in a yellow‑orange reflective vest labelled 'COMMUNITY RESERVE VOLUNTEER' stands beside folding tables and points toward the supplies. The tables are neatly lined with rows of brown paper bags and grouped bottled water, with a clipboard and small organising items visible. Another person is in the foreground, with their back to the camera.

Amanda has taken part in British Red Cross simulation days, supported national appeals, and written about the importance of emergency response in outlets such as The Times. Her advocacy reflects her deep empathy for people rebuilding their lives after crisis.

She continues to stand with communities recovering from disaster, helping bring their experiences to the forefront with care and compassion.
