Activating your voucher

When you receive your voucher, please activate it on the same day. The link will expire soon, and you may not be able to use it if it’s not activated in time.

What does 'activate' mean?

It means clicking the link in the message you received and following the steps to get your voucher or barcode. This makes your voucher ready to use.

Why is it important?

The link may stop working after a short time.
You won’t be able to use your voucher until it’s activated.
Activating early gives you time to ask for help if needed.

What product have you received?

You can find out what type of support you’ve received by checking the text or email messages sent from 07476 551272 or Huggg.

Huggg Food vouchers

These are digital vouchers you can use to buy food in certain supermarkets. They are also called supermarket vouchers, shopping vouchers or retail vouchers.

How to use:

Click the link in the text message or email from Huggg.
It only works at selected supermarkets: check location and opening hours for your preferred shop before choosing
Select the supermarket you want to shop at. You can’t change this later.
You’ll get a voucher code for that supermarket.
Show the code at the till to pay for your shopping.
Keep your voucher safe: you can use it more than once until the full amount is spent.

No smartphone? You can open the link on a computer and print the voucher. If you don’t have a printer, ask the British Red Cross person who arranged the voucher for help.

Huggg PayPoint vouchers

These vouchers let you collect cash from certain shops with PayPoint services.

How to use:

Find the message from Huggg.
Use the store locator to find a nearby shop with Cash Out facilities and check opening hours.
Click the activation link.
Get your barcode.
Show the barcode at the shop to receive your cash.

No smartphone? You can print the barcode from a computer. Ask the British Red Cross person who arranged the voucher for help.

Important notes:

Some shops may run out of cash.
You must take out the full amount in one go.
No ID is needed.

Huggg Post Office cash vouchers

These vouchers let you collect cash from any Post Office branch.

How to Use:

Find the message from Huggg.
Use the branch finder to find a nearby branch and check opening hours.
Click the activation link.
Get your barcode.
Wait 30 minutes after activating before going to the Post Office.
Show the barcode at the counter to receive your cash.

No smartphone? You can print the barcode from a computer. Ask the British Red Cross person who arranged the voucher for help.

Important Notes:

You must take out the full amount in one go.
No ID is needed.

Huggg PIN4cash vouchers or ATM cash vouchers

These vouchers let you collect cash from certain ATMs without a bank card.

How to use

Online Activation:

Click the link in the message from Huggg.
Use the map to find a nearby ATM.
Enter your mobile number twice.
Click 'Get my order number' and wait for a message with your voucher value and a 4 digits order number (starting with PC, e.g. PC1234).
You’ll see a secret 4-digit code shown on screen: write it down.

Go to the listed ATM:

Choose 'Cardless transaction' at the bottom right of the screen
Select 'PIN4cash'
Enter your UK mobile number (without the first 0), order number (starts with PC), secret code, and voucher value.
Collect your cash.

Important notes:

You must take out the full amount in one go.
No ID is needed.

Cash cards

A cash card is a prepaid debit card you can use in shops that accept Mastercard.

IMPORTANT: Activate the card as soon as you receive it.

How to use:

Check the Welcome Letter and Key Facts document that came with your card.
