Free will offer

Have your will written for free

With the British Red Cross, you can have your will written or updated for free. This can be through a face-to-face appointment with a solicitor, or online in the comfort of your own home.

There's no obligation to include a gift to the British Red Cross in your free will. However, if you do decide to, you would be helping to make sure we will be there for people when crisis strikes.

Please note our free will-writing offers are unfortunately not available on the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands.

Face-to-face with a solicitor

Through our partnership with the National Free Wills Network, you can have your will written or updated for free, face-to-face with a solicitor in your local area.

If you would like to find out more about this offer, please request a free wills pack.

Write your will online

Through our partnership with Bequeathed, you can make your will for good.

1. Take the online interview in as little as 20 minutes

The system creates your will from the answers you give, and it is then transferred to a partner legal firm.

2. Have a 30-minute telephone or video appointment with a legal professional

They will discuss your situation and wishes and confirm the will caters for your needs.

3. Receive your free will in the post, sign it and have it witnessed

You can then return a copy to the legal firm who will check it has been executed correctly and securely store it for you, also at no cost.

The will is completely free, however, if you  have some more complex issues, the law firm will offer you a quote to consider for any additional charge.
