The garden covers an area of five acres including three acres of woodland.
The current gardens were laid out in the early 1990s, using acidic soil to create a Cornish garden with camellias, rhododendrons, magnolias and pale-flowered hydrangeas, along with herbaceous borders and a traditional kitchen garden.
The gardens are situated within the area of the Quantock Hills area of outstanding natural beauty, with magnificent views across the Severn Estuary towards south Wales.
Other attractions include a children’s treasure trail and a tombola.
