About the event

Whether you've tried stand-up paddle boarding before or not, this is a real treat! You’ll have a full tour of Ennerdale water (6km), completing the full length of the lake, taking in beautiful views of the surrounding mountains whilst doing so.

This micro event is limited to 26 people – perfect for those wanting to get outdoors in 2021 but would feel more comfortable taking part in events with smaller groups of people.

The hike route is 8.5m (13.5km) where participants will take in three Lakeland peaks: Red Pike, Starling Dodd and Great Borne. You’ll climb a total ascent of 1023m (3365ft) which is higher than climbing Scafell Pike – the highest peak in England.

Whilst hiking, you’ll look over to Wild Ennerdale, plus lovely Buttermere and Cumnock Water. The last few kilometres follow the shoreline of Ennerdale Water. Ennerdale has a distinctive character of its own, with a sense of tranquillity and ruggedness similar to Scotland or Scandinavia. Stunning!

Both the stand-up paddleboard and hike sections of this event are fully guided and supported by qualified and experienced instructors, mountain leaders and first aiders. No previous paddle boarding experience necessary and all equipment for this section of the event will be provided.
