Our most challenging cycle ride

The ‘King of the Downs’ is Evans Cycles’ most challenging cycle ride! The 115-mile route is taking the riders through the Surrey hills, North Downs, Ashdown Forest and Kent, consisting of two separate loops and ten featured climbs. For those who would like to take a shorter ride there are two half distance routes with five featured climbs each.

Why cycle with the British Red Cross?

The British Red Cross helps millions of people in the UK and around the world get the support they need if crisis strikes. We’re part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent movement, and we believe in the power of kindness. Every step you take and every pound you raise will help fund this work.

As part of Team Red Cross you will be supported throughout your event preparation. Our local fundraiser will be on-hand to encourage you with your fundraising, answer any questions you have and to thank you for all of your hard work.

The route includes feed stations, mechanical assistance and post ride food for every rider. Also, all starters receive a goody bag and a finishers medal and have an electronic chip to record their riding times.

At the event, we have a Red Cross dedicated registration areas (inside) to make it easier for our riders to register and two Red Cross dedicated starts (full and half distance).
