Visit Ryde Farm Garden
Ryde Farm sits on the site of a 17th‑century farmhouse, beautifully restored and developed during the 20th century. Today, the gardens surrounding the house offer a rich and varied experience, combining formal planting, meadow areas and woodland to create a landscape full of character and seasonal interest.
The formal gardens are divided into several distinct areas, each with its own theme or atmosphere. Double herbaceous borders guide visitors towards the Blue Garden, before leading on to the planting in front of the farmhouse. This area is laid out in an elegant formal grid, complete with stone paving and a fragrant thyme path threading through mixed borders.
Tucked away within the grounds, a secluded spring garden provides vibrant early‑season colour and continues to delight with changing interest throughout the year. Close to the main house, a striking red‑themed garden brings superb summer colour, creating a bright and uplifting focal point as the season warms.
The garden also features a rose garden, a walled kitchen garden, productive greenhouses, and an orchard, offering visitors plenty to explore across a range of planting styles and garden rooms.
Please note: The formal gardens are set across multiple levels and include step access.
