Work experience for young people

There are work experience opportunities for you across the UK, wherever you are. These placements usually last for one week, and are for people aged 15-18.

Work experience gives you an opportunity to gain experience within different departments and an insight into the work of the British Red Cross.

Applying for work experience at our London head office

There are one-week work experience placements at our head office in London during July and August 2017 for young people aged 15-18. We will accept applications from 3 April 2017 until 2 June 2017 - applications submitted outside of these dates will not be considered.

Please be aware that places are limited.

Unfortunately we are unable to consider applications for alternative dates.

To apply for work experience in 2017 at the Red Cross head office in London Moorgate, please send a cover letter to stating the following:

  • Your name, age and contact details
  • Your availability in July and August 2017
  • Why you would like to do work experience at the British Red Cross
  • A CV if you have one.
