Baby and Child First Aid

First aid for babies and children:
vomiting and diarrhoea

Watch the video, in which a child is treated for vomiting and diarrhoea, and remind yourself of the key steps below.

A child who repeatedly vomits or goes to the toilet more frequently than usual is at risk of becoming dehydrated very quickly.

Give the baby or child drinks of boiled water that’s been cooled. Encourage them to drink small sips often.
