To many people who are poor, starving and suffering throughout the world, the Red Cross offers the only real chance of hope. Often we are the only humanitarian organisation able to get through when war, famine or disaster has destroyed families and communities.

Money is the lifeblood of rapid response. It can be instantly transferred and converted into whatever is most needed.  Why we ask for money not gifts.

You can help us get emergency supplies to people the moment disaster strikes. Make a difference today by setting up a regular donation.

Your donation will help us save lives and give practical assistance to thousands of people in crisis around the world.

Here are some examples of how your donation could help:

Pharmacists distributing oral rehydration salts in Gereida, Sudan

£2 a month for a year could buy twelve daily measures of water and oral rehydration salts, enough for 480 children.

Boy holding Red Cross parcel in Sri Lanka 2006
£3 a month for a year could buy enough food parcels to feed 120 people caught up in a natural disaster.
Woman carrying Red Cross mosquito net during Southern Africa floods 2008
£5 a month for a year could buy 36 family size mosquito nets for families to sleep under at night to prevent malaria from mosquito bites.
First Aid kit for trained volunteers
£10 a month for a year could train twelve people in lifesaving first aid skills.
