Who Can Apply?
We welcome students who are:
- Enrolled in further or higher education on a course that requires a mandatory placement.
- Able to sign a three-way agreement between themselves, their education provider and us
- Equipped with good, communication and teamwork skills
- Resident in the UK with a valid student visa that permits volunteering (if applicable).
Our placements are designed to help you develop and strengthen your skills and experience.
Full training will be provided for any technical requirements.

Joining the British Red Cross for my MA Social Work placement has been an eye-opening experience.
As an immigrant myself, working with asylum seekers and refugees has allowed me to understand the complexities surrounding the legal process, empathise with the struggle and heartbreak that asylum seekers often face upon arrival to the UK, and, most importantly, help those in need of support.
The experiences I have had will help me to become a more kind-hearted, compassionate social worker, and I am so grateful for the opportunity.
