Potential Picasso? Budding Botticelli? We’ve just launched a competition to find the UK’s next up-and-coming artist.

Actor, writer, avid art collector, and presenter of podcast Talk Art, Russell Tovey, will be judging the competition alongside one of the UK’s most in-demand and viral Instagram artists, Sophie Tea.

Open to all ages and abilities, the successful entrant will be joining a stellar line-up of exciting and diverse UK artists, including Craig and Karl (Craig Redman and Karl Maier), Morag Myerscough, Stephanie Unger and six other established and breakthrough names from across the country.

These nine artists have already contributed designs to promote the British Red Cross message, that whether through volunteering or donating, everyone has the power to help those who need it the most.

How do you enter? Simply:

  1. Design your own artwork including the message: “I have the power”
  2.  Post your final art on Instagram tagging us and using our hashtag #PowerOfKindness
  3. Post your entry by 8/12/20 midnight (BST)

That’s it!

Russell Tovey said: “So many of us have felt powerlessness during this crazy year, so it’s great to see art being used as a way to empower and inspire people – and help everyone realise that they have the power to help others.

“Whether you choose to submit an entry or buy something from the online collection, you’ll be helping someone who really needs it. I can’t wait to start judging!”

We can’t wait to see your entries.
