Canon
We were also able to provide emotional support and counselling for young people in crisis.
Canon works with us to find creative ways to help people in crisis.
The company’s #selfieless campaign encouraged people to stop taking selfies. Instead, it challenged them to do something kind and take a photo.
Pictures of these good deeds were then shared on social media using the #selfieless hashtag.
As part of this campaign Canon donated over £850,000 to the Red Cross in 33 countries. This was used to fund health and social care projects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Canon also supports our work in the UK.
The company funds our support at home projects. This allows us to visit to lonely and socially isolated people across the country.
Our Canon partnership gave us the resources to help over one million young people across Europe.
The company funded special classes where we taught young people important life skills, including:
- first aid
- gender equality
- road safety
We were also able to provide emotional support and counselling for young people in crisis.
