Red Cross Week

  • You can donate £5 to Red Cross Week (general funds appeal) by texting GIVE to 70600 between the 1 January 2012 and 31 May 2012.

The donation will be added to your next phone bill, plus your standard network text charge. At least 85% of your £5/£10 donation will go to the British Red Cross, depending on the individual network operators.

Please note that you cannot donate using this service from a Channel Islands, Isle of Man mobile or outside of the UK.

If the keyword or short code you text are invalid you may still be charged your standard network message charge. You will not be charged the donation as you will not be donating to the British Red Cross.

For any specific appeal text asks, if we raise more money than we can reasonably spend on the appeal, we will use your donation to respond to humanitarian disasters overseas or in the UK.

All supporters must obtain permission from the bill payer before sending a text message. If you are under 16 years old, you must have your parent or guardian's permission to send a text donation to the British Red Cross.

The British Red Cross might contact you occasionally with updates or appeals. If you would like to opt out of any future text messages from the British Red Cross, please text BRC STOP to 70600. This will be charged at your network's standard message charge (based on your service providers rates). You can also opt out of receiving future communications by emailing digital@redcross.org.uk
