Help for refugees and asylum seekers

If you are a refugee or asylum seeker in the UK, we may be able to offer you practical and emotional support.

How we can help

This page is available in other languages.

The British Red Cross is the UK's largest independent provider of services and support for refugees and people seeking asylum.

We help refugees from all backgrounds and religions. We will not report you to the authorities.

If you are a refugee or asylum seeker in the UK, or if you know someone who is, our teams may be able to support you with:

  • emergency help
  • one-to-one casework
  • one-off support
  • information and signposting about where to get help.

The support we give may come from the Red Cross or we may refer you to other organisations.

Contact your local refugee service.
