Avalon is a 1/2-acre garden on the edge of woodland, with many mature trees and shrubs on a north-west facing clay slope, which makes it both challenging and interesting.

It features a diversity of plants, including some unusual specimens, plus collections of ferns, hostas and roses and sub-tropical plants. There is also a variety of vegetables, fruit trees and bushes.

A haven for wildlife, attracting many insects and birds, with interlinked paths and spots to stop and take in the views, Avalon has been described as a “woodland wonderland” and featured on Gardeners’ World in 2022.
