Lewis Hamilton's work with the Red Cross
In December 2025, Lewis Hamilton travelled to Jordan with the British Red Cross to see how the Jordan Red Crescent Society and the Palestine Red Crescent Society prepare aid for Gaza and support medical evacuees. He saw the major challenges of getting humanitarian assistance into the region, where access remains very limited.
Lewis spent time with teams sorting and packing aid, noting the care and urgency behind their work. He said watching staff and volunteers operate nonstop was moving and stressed that far more aid is urgently needed for people in Gaza.
He also met Omar, a Palestine Red Crescent Society volunteer who described the tragic rescue attempt of five‑year‑old Hind Rajab. Lewis later visited the Jordan Red Crescent Society hospital treating evacuees and reflected on the dedication of medical teams and the need to protect civilians and humanitarian workers.
Lewis made a generous donation to the British Red Cross crisis appeal, supporting the emergency response efforts of the Palestine Red Crescent Society and the ICRC in Gaza.
