Why Visit Hutton‑in‑the‑Forest?
Hutton‑in‑the‑Forest has long welcomed visitors to its much‑loved Open Garden in support of the British Red Cross, and this year brings a special addition: an Antique Fair & Country House Attic Sale on Sunday 28th June, offering an even richer and more memorable day out.
Visitors can step inside the ancient family home of Lord and Lady Inglewood, a remarkable blend of architectural styles found nowhere else, before wandering into the spectacular Walled Garden, terraces, and historic grounds that frame one of Cumbria’s most fascinating country houses. The gardens are full of colour and character, making them a pleasure to explore at any pace.
After enjoying the grounds, guests can browse a curated selection of antiques, decorative items, and attic finds, each chosen for its charm and story, all beautifully presented within this exceptional setting.
A joyful celebration of gardens, heritage, and craftsmanship — and all in support of the British Red Cross.
Your visit helps people in crisis
The Red Cross helps people in the UK and across the world get the support they need in an emergency. With Open Gardens, you'll be raising funds for this important work.
