What to see at Ingatestone Hall

Set within ten acres of peaceful gardens, Ingatestone Hall invites visitors to step inside its stunning Grade I listed 16th‑century manor house. You can explore eight beautifully presented principal rooms filled with paintings, furniture, and Petre family memorabilia collected over many generations.

Outside, the grounds offer a relaxing place to wander, with parkland pathways leading through extensive lawns, formal garden areas, a charming walled garden, and the historic stew pond. There’s plenty to discover at your own pace, whether you're admiring the planting, exploring hidden corners, or simply enjoying the atmosphere of this remarkable estate.

After your visit, you can unwind with tea and cake in the tea rooms, the perfect way to complete your day at Ingatestone Hall.
