Why run the London Landmarks Half Marathon for Team Red Cross?

We help people in the UK and across the world get the support they need in an emergency. By joining Team Red Cross, you'll be raising funds for this important work.

As part of our Team, we'll be on hand to support you throughout the London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Join Team Red Cross and get:

  • Support: you'll receive 1-2-1 fundraising and training support from our Events Team. Plus, on the day of the half marathon, you'll have a cheer team along the route in London.
  • Community: you'll get the opportunity to meet the rest of the team virtually.
  • A running vest: show your support by wearing a British Red Cross running vest.
  • Updates: we'll make sure you're kept up-to-date about the impact your fundraising has on the work we do.

Being part of #TeamRedCross made me feel supported before I even attended the event which I was very thankful for.

Challenge Event FAQs

How your donation could help people in crisis

£18 – could support a refugee or person seeking asylum at risk of homelessness to buy or cook their meals for a week. This means that as the cost-of-living rises, they can still sit down for a meal, bring people together around the dinner table and create a sense of home.

£54 – could buy emergency supplies, such as blankets, for 13 people in Syria who’ve been forced to flee their homes.

£75 – could allow us to keep 150 survivors of a building fire safe and warm, as we support them to find somewhere to stay for the night.

£100 – could provide a set of basic kitchen items to help someone start over again after losing everything in devastating floods.
