Situated in the heart of Rochester, this unique historic walled garden is filled with spectacular formal and herbaceous features, including one of the best surviving box parterres. Discover outstanding yew topiary, a dedicated cutting garden, rich herbaceous borders, exotic greenhouses and potting sheds and the astonishing restoration of a large 17th-century Italian Renaissance water garden.

Privately owned and maintained, with outstanding brickwork, paths and statues, this is a garden of immense charm and ambition and still one of Kent’s best kept secrets.

Restoration House is well signposted from Rochester High Street. If driving, Blue Boar Lane car park is just a five-minute walk away and Crow Lane is your next road on the left, with Restoration House being located on your left as you head along Crow Lane. If travelling by train, Rochester station is just a seven-minute walk away.
