What to see at Stagshaw House gardens

Stagshaw House offers a beautifully varied garden overlooking the Tyne Valley, with formal terraces and plenty of seating for visitors to relax and take in the views. Woodland walks lead through colourful displays of rhododendrons and azaleas, and in the surrounding parkland you may encounter the resident alpaca herd — always a delight for families.

Visitors can also enjoy the tennis and croquet courts, adding a playful element to the day. Throughout the afternoon, live music provides a welcoming atmosphere, and the chapel will be open for evensong at 4pm for those who wish to end their visit with quiet reflection.

Whether you’re exploring the woodland, enjoying a game on the lawns, or simply soaking up the scenery, Stagshaw House Gardens offers a memorable and uplifting day out for everyone.
