Why fundraise for the Red Cross?

When you fundraise for the British Red Cross, you’re helping people get the support they need when crisis hits in the UK and around the world.

Every day, our volunteers and staff respond to emergencies. We provide life-saving support and help people recover, while always protecting human dignity.

As part of the global Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, our work is guided by seven fundamental principles, including impartiality and neutrality. This means we help anyone in need, regardless of who or where they are.

By fundraising, you play a vital role in helping us be there for people when they need us most.

How to fundraise for the Red Cross

Getting started is simple. You can choose to sign up to one of our events, where everything is organised for you, or get creative and plan your own fundraiser based on your interests, whether that's organising a run, or hosting a coffee morning or anything in between. 

Once you’ve decided what you’d like to do, just register your fundraising activity and our team will support you every step of the way. We’ll provide useful resources, guidance and tips to help ensure your event is a success.

Host a tea party

Host a virtual or in person tea party. Request a digital pack packed full of tips and take donations from guests for the British Red Cross.
