Visitors may recognise Fallodon Hall as the location of the final Christmas special edition of Downton Abbey. This historic family home is surrounded by lawns and features a sunken garden and 30m border, redesigned by renowned local garden designer Natasha McEwen.
Around the estate you’ll find a millennium arboretum, established woodland and specimen trees. And surrounded by 17th-century walls, there’s a traditional kitchen garden, with borders of vegetables and cutting flowers and a fruit greenhouse.
After you’ve explored the gardens, you can relax and enjoy the historic surroundings with a cup of tea.
